The market is tired and scared of your attempts to "fundamentally change the US". A majority of We the People are tired of hearing, or seeing you in our face day after day.
Better yet, resign effective at noon today, pack your stuff, move out of the White House, and resume your former life in Chicago.

In western IL that might have been the case, say 30yrs ago. But, with the heavy reliance on guvmint subsidies, this neighborhood is quite socialistic. Unlike most of the country the ag community hasn’t been terribly affected by the recession, thanks to the afore mentioned subsidies.
Look at IA. Harkin and Grassley disagree on many issues, but they are in lockstep on ethanol support.
Given the rural locations, I was thinking more of a corridor lined with people holding burning torches and freshly-sharpened pitchforks.
The bus would probably just pass right on through without stopping.

I figure his handlers will have him show up at union only functions, teachers union and seiu events, maybe a NAACP or acorn event too.
Show up at a NASCAR event and things would get ugly REAL quick.
