They are overwhelmingly blacks and Muslims. Yes there are a few white thugs amongst these vermin. But you know that if there are 10,000 blacks and Muslims involved and just 1 white, The Guardian and the BBC will call it multiracial.

At the start, the rioters were mainly black (afro-carribeans), but after the first day a lot of white chavs joimed in too as they could see a good opportunity for looting.

They were most certainly NOT overwhelmingly muslim. Three muslim guys, defending the shops and homes of their community were run over and killed by black guys in a high-speed hit and run incident.

Basically, this was not a 'muslim' problem, but a black and white underclass one.
