First of all, I have never seen Gov Palin trash talking another Republican candidate>

You are correct. Mrs Palin is far to class an act to engage in such self defeating tactics. I have never suggested she is engaging in these tactics.

Unfortunately, as I have been pointing out in my posts on this thread, some of her supporters around here seem to think these tactics ARE the best way to support her.

They are not. As someone who has been part of the GOP for over 30 years, I am try to warn them of the self defeating road they are walking.

I do not want ot see various FReepers called out for supporting a Republican

No one is "calling them out" for supporting anyone. What I am doing is offering a friendly suggestion that they rethink their political strategy.

When all is said and done, we may find CNN to be a more fair source of information on Gov. Palin than Fox News.

Not only on Palin, all things balanced. I listen to talk radio all day and always turn over to the station that carried CNN radio news every 30 minutes. Their radio news outlet is FAR AND AWAY more unbiased than Fox radio news, who just cannot help themselves with a 10 second audio clip of the Lair-In-Chief every 30 minutes whether it is really news or not.

Now for TV CNN is an entirely different animal. BUT their radio news outlet impresses me more every day. ABC and TRN are no better or worse than Fox radio news.

Agree. The Dems would never challenge him, the first black President, for the nomination for reelection. They would lose their most loyal constituency, not only for this coming election but future ones. It would be political suicide for the party. Hillary understands that better than most.
##

It would also assure they lose the Senate. Dems can’t win nationally or in most statewide races without getting better than 90% of the Black vote.

As much as I love Herman Cain, I think he came out as one of the bigger losers in the straw poll other than Pawlenty. While I don't think the straw poll has much to do with predicting the nominee, it is a good way for marginal candidates to test their appeal. Cain was looking like a phenom after his debate performances, but he needed to do better than 8.6% in order to demonstrate his viability as a candidate, given how much he campaigned there.

I don't think there's room for more than one "tea party candidate" with a strong following but short political resume, and the Iowa voters chose Bachmann.

Oh, no, I understand that.

What comes to my mind is how that line of thinking (trash talking OTHER candidates) got so many banned. If you remember the phrases used against the former mayor of New York City, and the constant bashing of his supporters here, etc. He wasn't someone I would have voted for, unless he was the nominee, but to take such offense at people over him, was crazy! And BOTH sides trashed each others candidates, often. It was often someone RESPONDING to some trash talk, that more often than not that got them banned. However, mostly it was supporters of that former mayor who got the boot, regardless of what was said to make them say what they did.

So I'm on your side, but I do think it is not as bad as then. Yet.... I hope it never is.

Yes, Palin is fearless when handling the press. I feel better that she won the corn kernel vote! I didn’t know about it....and no one has mentioned it in the press.

Looks like I am back at least for a while. This relic is working again.

As for CNN their Sunday host Candy whatever is now trying to talk Cain out of the race not too gracefully either.Funny to watch. He may not have a prayer but it is his call.

I think Heman Cain is an uncommonly brilliant guy and has a firm grasp on capitalism and business. However, after seeing our candidate-in-Chief playing the race card for years upon years you gotta wonder what the future is for yet another candidate of color in the next few years no matter how different a world one might be in.
