Report: Pakistan gave China access to 'stealth' chopper in bin Laden raid

Chinese military allowed to take photographs, samples of aircraft's 'skin', despite CIA objections, Financial Times reports

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan gave China access to the previously unknown "stealth" helicopter that crashed during the commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden in May despite explicit requests from the CIA not to, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.

The revelation, if confirmed, is likely to further shake the U.S.-Pakistan relationship, which has been improving slightly after hitting its lowest point in decades following the May 2 bin Laden raid.

During the raid, one of two modified Blackhawk helicopters, believed to employ unknown stealth capability, malfunctioned and crashed, forcing the commandos to abandon it.

"The US now has information that Pakistan, particularly the ISI, gave access to the Chinese military to the downed helicopter in Abbottabad," the paper quoted a person "in intelligence circles" as saying.

If Pocky-Stahn had been our ally they would have wrapped the chopper and sent it back FedEx.

if they were our ally,
they would have handed bin Laden over to us.

he was living there for what, 2.5 years?
Indian intelligence reported it almost 2 years ago.
we had him under surveillance there for at least 6 months,
maybe much longer.
(supposedly the CIA had a nearby house.
and Obama turned down 2 other plans, months earlier.)

it’s impossible that the ISI didn’t know Osama was there.

...and of COURSE they showed our chopper to China.
not news. but what is interesting, is that it is getting such wide coverage now, even on the liberal MSM...

I guess that you are still under the impression that we can trust our Muslim “allies”.

Why trust adherents of a religion that plans to dstroy the West?

Sheesh, what is wrong with us?

They sold it to the highest bidder. China spends way more in Pakistan than the U.S. and is their top arms supllier and the builder of Pakistan's infrastructure.

In a nutshell Pakistan doesn't need us....We need them.

Sounds like the Clintons. They are friends and sold our technology to the Chinese.

In a nutshell Pakistan doesn't need us....We need them.

Why?

Nation building in Afghanistan? Forget it. It's not going to happen. The best thing we could do is pull out immediately and let the place go to hell on it's own. They don't call Afghanistan the "Graveyard of Empires" for nothing.

Going in to kick some Taliban butt and taking out Al Qaeda was a good mission, but hanging around and trying to run the place was dumb. It's not "run-able". Never has been. Never will be.

The Talibunnies LIKE having us there because it gives them someone to shoot at. If we leave, they'll go back to shooting at each other. Nothing will change.

Pakistan is a failed state held together by brute force, connivance, corruption and a smattering of Islamic fanaticism. Let China have the headaches.

Turnabout is fair play.
Give Indoa ALL of our current information, covert and otherwise, on Pakistan, including missle sites, troop strengths and locations, etc.
Then, cut off all foreign aid, trade, immigation, sponsorships - the lot.
Let them understand what it is like to be our enemy.

Why?

This goes beyound Afghanistan

Right now the terrorists are hanging out in Pakistan just waiting to return to Afghanistan. And Pakistan has nukes...The last thing the world needs is al Qaeda with nukes.

We don't do anything to make the averge Pakistani's life any better, China does...That is why they don't need us.

With 40 cents of every dollar we spend being financed through the Chinese, I’m sure they just wanted to check up on one of their many US investments. It’s logical.

Chinese engineers and engineering techs. were also trained by our universities and manufacturers long ago to inject and probe pulses in order to replicate logic and schematics of circuits.

Why do we still support these terrorists? I don’t understand why we allocate funding at all, especially that contrary to Israel?
