The Madoff sons can’t possibly be so stupid. They were at least half in on father Bernie’s Ponzi scams. The only way they have escaped prison so far is they and Bernie’s wife have helped uncover the money trail so restitution can be made. IMHO.
Madoff cut a deal allowing Ruth to keep over $ 2 million. And the case against the son who killed himself is moot..therefore his widow got to keep millions..so, everyone benefits...
