I won’t vote for him, even in the general.
You know people keep throwing around the RINO label, but people like you are CINOs - conservatives in name only. If we accept Reagan as the yardstick against which to measure conservatism, then you are far from conservative. Reagan would have voted for ANY of the Republicans running in the general election against Obama, even if they were not as conservative as he would like - because he would know they are a lot more conservative than Obama will ever be.
Reagan was not one to forego making small gains whenever he could. His strategy was to keep moving toward the goal. In football terms, Reagan would go for the long bomb if he had a man clear, but was perfectly happy to make a 3 yard run if that is what was available. Too many on this forum seem to want to take an all-or-nothing strategy - throwing the bomb even when the deep man is triple-covered and there is an open man 5 yards up the field, on the slim hope of success. So even if you think there are better candidates, if you want to make ANY gains toward taking back this country, you need to vigorously support your preferred candidate in the primaries, and then vigorously support the nominee in the general.
