I might not be happy, but I wouldn’t be spreading nails on driveways, cutting services to 911 call centers, or pooping on company property over it, I’ll tell you that much.

In the days when Jane Curtin and Dan Aykroyd did Weekend Update on Sat. Night Live, they had a bit explaining that the Children’s Television Workshop might be going on strike. They spoofed the Electric Company bit about two different people
saying parts of a word.
They used the words PICK-ET and SC-AB and explained what they meant.

Curtin: Now let’s review what we’ve learned.
Picket.
Aykroyd: Scab...

Curtin: Don’t. It MIGHT become infected.

Shithead: A union member who walks off the job because he has his panties in a bunch, and stands in front of his (former) employer’s place of business being conspicuously un-busy. A Shithead is explicitly NOT a worker, or a laborer, or an employee. He isn’t working. He’s standing (or sitting) doing nothing of value.

If they want to strike, that’s their business and their right. I was working for AT&T fresh out of college (as a computer programmer) back in the late ‘80s and almost got sent from DC to Omaha as some sort of strike replacement thanks to a narrowly-averted CWA strike. I don’t know what they expected me to do considering I’d never done a lick of telephone work in my life, but I was a few days away from finding out.

Striking is their right and that’s fine. Picketing company facilities? Sure. Picketing private homes where Verizon technicians are doing work? Not if they’re trespassing or harassing the occupants in ANY way. Criminal damage? HELL no. The union needs to be the one cracking down on the thugs and vandals, and maybe they’ll get further ahead in the court of public opinion.

So yeah, they can strike. Verizon can also tell them all to go straight to hell if they want. That’s why I much prefer right-to-work states, workers have a legitimate choice as to whether they want a union or not. And in most cases, they DON’T. Because they know that most big unions, in the end, don’t care two poops about the rank-and-file workers. They only care about Democratic politicians and their own union bosses.

The union approved devices are called jackrocks.

Nails have the heads cut off and sharpened, bent to a U shape and then two are welded together in such a manner that when scattered on the road, one sharp point is always up.

Unions as in the leadership? .. Agreed... as long as the dues money keeps flowing.

Most of us must prove ourselves on a daily basis without living in your Workers Paradise. It's called the free market, deal with it you pinko.

Happiness is a union being decertified.

I’m a conservative that leans right. I love the USA and give highest honor to our military which defend our freedoms.

You’re a warped, clouded individual.

SCAB: Mangy crust like lesions on animals, especially sheep. A lower form of life who justifies scabbing (stealing) another person’s job due to a strike.

Jobs belong to the company, not to the worker.

Calling someone names because you don’t agree with their beliefs is being no different from those left-wing loonies on the other side.

This coming from somebody who used the word, "Scab."

I hope they lose their jobs. I hope they lose their house and their families break up due to no money, because they were foolishly striking instead of working in this economy.

And yes, I am absolutely serious.

Unless your management, replacing (stealing) a worker’s job during a strike is SCAB work… it is what it is !

You are NOT stealing a job if someone vacates the position by leaving employment at the company. This would be firing, quitting, striking, etc...

That is drivel.

Taking a union worker’s job is akin to God’s work. Only the absolute destruction of union jobs will assure the future of America. So long as there are unions, America is at risk.

Unions have degenerated to conduits for the DNC funds

Again, the job belongs to the company.

The word ‘Union’ means the whole membership. Many union members are diehard conservatives. It’s in the leadership where big corruption lays.

I agree, Unions have degenerated to conduits for the DNC funds, a bad deal.
