Bachmann was always liked on this site. She was championed in many ways when Palin was just a GOP Governor of Alaska. Not known or known to be a conservative.

I remember that thread, or one like it, except it was full of people insisting that the shirt meant that she was running, and it was the “answer” to that question people keep wanting to ask “Are you Running?” “I am”.
Eventually someone found the actual shirt online, found out it was an “I am a Mom” shirts, and that pretty much shut down that speculation.
There were a few comments on that thread saying only God is “I am”, which I thought was silly to suggest she would think otherwise, but I don’t remember any anti-christ comments on that one.
Not nearly so much as this article suggests though.
Having read the link Josh gave (thanks Josh), it appears the only part of the story that isn’t in dispute is that she DID accuse the poor reporter guy of messing up, when he actually got the story correct.
That seems like a rather small error to make; maybe her staff also messed up by not moving her out of earshot, and away from the noise, so she could have the conversation — if they had, the reporter might have been able to explain it wasn’t him, and Palin would have apologized and there’s be no other reporter to confuse talking loudly in a crowd with “screaming”.
But I put that on par with the complaints about Bachmann’s staff not keeping her from getting a picture taken with a corn dog.
People who aren’t message board lawyers can read the thread and judge for themselves; I tire of the company here.

It seems other posters got it.
People are scared. It probably makes us all a little more passionate about chosen candidates than normal. That makes it more personal.
Having said that, we seem to have a lot more trolls than normal too. Their purpose is to disrupt and spew the same talking points on every thread they can find having to do with the candidate they dislike. Not all the trolls are anti-Palin, some of them are anti-Bachmann or anti-Perry. What’s disturbing to me is that a trolls only purpose seems to be to spew filth and then whine and play the victim when they get their noses bloodied. You have to wonder why they keep going on those threads. Personally, I have written some uncomplimentary things about some candidates, but I fully expect to get a response when I do and I don’t whine about it. I wish others would do the same.
