I’ve been wondering about that. I’m new here, been reading for just a couple years. I used to come here to get my head straight on issues, kind of like why I listen to Rush and Mark. But lately a lot of these threads have been just plain depressing.
People are scared. It probably makes us all a little more passionate about chosen candidates than normal. That makes it more personal.
Having said that, we seem to have a lot more trolls than normal too. Their purpose is to disrupt and spew the same talking points on every thread they can find having to do with the candidate they dislike. Not all the trolls are anti-Palin, some of them are anti-Bachmann or anti-Perry. What’s disturbing to me is that a trolls only purpose seems to be to spew filth and then whine and play the victim when they get their noses bloodied. You have to wonder why they keep going on those threads. Personally, I have written some uncomplimentary things about some candidates, but I fully expect to get a response when I do and I don’t whine about it. I wish others would do the same.
