so, we get another 4 years of comrade obama because of gov
perry and gardasil?
Plenty of thunder to go around. All the candidates should not support this junk science.
On policy, though, that leaves Perry in a similar position to Bachmann on Sunday, when Jake Tapper asked her to identify the spending shed have to cut to stop borrowing money in the short term.
++++++++++++++++
I hope Perry avoids this trap. I wonder how Bachmann dodged the question. There is no way she could have given a rational answer.
Perry gave a perfect comment on Globull Warming.
From a guy who pushes wind and solar at taxpayer expense.
Pace Malkin, there is nothing Odious about gardisil, which is an effective drug. The problem was the policy limiting this immunization to young girls and ignoring the fact that STD’s do not—like small pox—come from casual contact. It was politically unwise. But I would not be against an AIDS vaccine required of all even if it would inevitably lead homosexuals and other libertines to be more reckless in their behavior. The remedy is morally Ok, but it does not meet the real emergency, which is the collapse of traditional sexual morality among whole sections of the population.
So Perry’s a conservative now?
... as an experienced campaigner, through positioning, Perry has sucked some of the oxygen from Paul’s campaign, from Bachman’s campaign, and preemptively, from Palin’s campaign.
Contrast this with Cain, who seems a great guy, but doesn’t know how to campaign and has never been elected even dog-catcher.
I don’t care about Gardisil. There was an opt-out. Everyone learns from mistakes. If Reagan were in the primary today, I don’t doubt many on this board would be saying he was pro-amnesty, democrat supporter, union boss and a tax-raiser. All true at one time.
In this election, there is no 100% candidate. If I can end up with an 85%+ candidate to take out Obama, I’ll vote happily for them. If that candidate shoots up Zero’s a&& with Gardisil, so much the better. [speaking figuratively here]
