[ FR even has some folks who dream of continued, endless immigration for America, and all the economic wealth that it will supposedly bring. ]
Immigration is a good thing if it is metered and measured and no more than a certain percentage of the existing population of a country per year and from countries that share a similar value set and are expected to conform to the social norms of the country they are moving into.
Let it go beyond this and it will “fundementally transform” the country and most often top it’s own detriment.
true.
within my lifetime, Lebanon was a prosperous, stable, majority-Christian nation.
“Immigration is a good thing if it is metered and measured....”
.
Immigration is a good thing ONLY if the immigrant can contribute to the welfare of the host country. What other reason could there be?
Why accept large numbers of new citizens who end up on welfare and have no intention to assimilate. Why allow immigration when good jobs go overseas and unemployment is at 9.2%?
Hey you congresscritters, give me a logical answer.
