As a perennial presidential candidate of the GOP, we all know how the story ends.The last time Ron Paul ran as an Independent he got the nomination resulting in a whopping 0.5% of the popular vote and 0 electoral votes. I remember that election well and Paul got media attention commensurate with the number of votes he received -- kinda like now.
