Is the APA going to fold on the issue like they did in 1973 over homosexuality? In this case, it may not be activists violently threatening a convention. If some of you recall, there was a few years ago an academic from the University of Minnesota who published that children who were not exposed to sex at an early age were deprived. So this assault will come from ivory tower academics.
Garbage like this reminds me of when certain psychologists were publicly proclaiming that raising children in a two parent household (a mother and a father, not two mommies) constituted child abuse. Thank God that idea had not gained traction - yet.
One in four children in the United States is being raised by a single parent a percentage that has been on the rise and is higher than other developed countries, according to a report released Wednesday.
Of the 27 industrialized countries studied by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the U.S. had 25.8 percent of children being raised by a single parent, compared with an average of 14.9 percent across the other countries.
In the African American community, 72 percent of Black children are raised in a single parent household.

We see how well this has worked for the black community. Seventy-two percent is a staggering number.
A lot of these shrinks are in dire need of psych help themselves. Which is likely the reason why they chose the field.
I believe the APA has already removed the paraphilic disorders S&M and Transgenderism from the DSM...what’s next, necrophilia?
