Italy's housewives are the most "desperate" in Europe - with growing rates of dissatisfaction on everything from child care to social welfare, according to a new study. The survey of 4,000 women across Europe, carried out by Women and Quality of Life, showed that 76% of Italian housewives were unhappy with their lot - 2.5% higher than the result last year.

The rate among Spanish housewives was 63%, French ones were at 57%, British ones were at 51% and German ones at 47%.

The group carrying out the survey is headed up by celebrity psychologist Serenella Salomoni and publishes a variety of polls on women's issues.

46% of Italian housewives polled said they were concerned about the economic crisis and the decrease in their purchasing power, as well as the lack of part time work opportunities to ease the work-life balance.

Yeah, cause every Italian husband has a piece on the side 10 to 20 years younger than his wife.

No wonder their birth rate is only 1.1, it’s the death of a nation in slow motion and we are all witnesses.

I don’t even know about the 10 to 20 years younger. When I was in Italy, practically every man was chasing anything in a skirt or flirting no matter how old the woman was.

Send them to a farm in Siberia for a couple of years to fend for themselves. Then, maybe, when they get back, they'll shut up.

My grandmother was widowed when she was about 28 years old with 7 kids. She didn't remarry but took care of the farm and family herself, through the 'Great Depression'. She was happy, very happy.

I remember a lot of women, like her, from that generation that were self sufficient and happy. The women in this article are spoiled rotten bitches.

Not true, especially nowadays. Only the wealthy among them can afford a mistress.

As one who visits Italy, the condition known as ‘mamonni’ is rampant throughout Italy and has more to do with female dissatisfaction in my opinion. ‘Mamonni’ is the Italian word for “Mama’s boys” - spoiled men who still depend on mommy to do their laundry, cooking and cleaning. Many mamonni are well into their 60s. The Wall St. Journal had a great article on these guys a while back.

I know several men like those described above and their wives are definitely not happy campers. Their mothers-in-law can do no wrong and always are better cooks and housekeepers. Of course, they don’t do Italian society any favors when they treat their own sons like little princes.

Back in 1987, an exceptionally pretty woman from Genoa wanted to get hitched after only one night together. I made breakfast for her the following morning and then fixed her shower. She proceeded to brag about me over the phone; I’m pretty sure her friends were disappointed when they finally met me in person. In a 1993 visit to the States, her sister said few, if any, Italian men would have done what I did; they would have called their mothers.

An elderly Italian man who lived on the outskirts of Rimini ,
Italy, went to the local church for confession.
When the priest slid open the panel in the confessional, the man said: “Father.. During World War II, a beautiful Jewish woman from our neighborhood knocked urgently on my door and asked me to hide her from the Nazis. So I hid her in my attic.”
The priest replied: “That was a wonderful thing you did, and
you have no need to confess that.”
“There is more to tell, Father.. She started to repay me with
sexual favors. This happened several times a week, and sometimes twice on Sundays.”
The priest said, “That was a long time ago and by doing what
you did, you placed the two of you in great danger, but two people under those circumstances can easily succumb to the weakness of the flesh.
However, if you are truly sorry for your actions, you are indeed
forgiven.”
“Thank you, Father. That’s a great load off my mind. I do
have one more question.”
“And what is that?” asked the priest.
“Should I tell her the war is ov

Perhaps the UK housewives have a low rate because the govt. just gives them money for each child? Around $128 per month for child #1 and I believe it’s tax free. Just about everybody qualifies.

American women are more dissatisfied now than they were 50 years ago according to surveys taken. The more independent and liberated they get the more miserable they become.

I dunno, aside from Italian expats I met in Germany who had genuine interest in conversation, in Italy proper, the girls seemed selfish, dismissive and a far cry from caring for the romantic poetry some might make them out to be like. I cannot stand the Italians in Italy, there.

-— besides, becoming lactose intolerant, mother’s milk skin and big Italian boobs do nothing to me anymore, quite the contrary.

American women who love homos these days are not realizing that they are being pimped out into the street while the homos take the role of higher level call girls. It’s basicaly the level of feminist discussion these days. It’s horrible. You mention to them that there was a day when women of character did genuinely study science and litterature or philosophy, but that now it’s all about free handouts and acting like blacks on affirmative action, and you get a dirty look and told that they are free to do what they want.

They call it freedom and empowerment when all they are allowed to do is fail at school and sleep around like little convicts.
