You couldn't tell by the way they caved on the debt increase fiasco? The majority of these new congress folks are not worth the effort or faith we placed in them. I feel very let down and hope all those who voted for that mess are primaried. Once again we were simply lied to and screwed over. As far as that asshat Boehner goes I really can't even discuss that POS without my blood pressure exploding so I'll stop here.

Because they were asking to go in an “official capacity”. Which means taxpayer-funded. Didn’t you read the story. How is it a good thing for Congressmen to travel to Israel, on the public dime, during a giant recession?
It’s the ‘official’ and ‘fact-finding’ qualifiers that required the request, and resulted in the denial. In this instance, I think Boehner is right.
Certainly, Beck would have no problem funding their trip, tho again House rules might preclude a ‘gift’ of the airfare and expenses, especially to an overseas locale.
