You’re denying the given example of someone who came to, and kept with the faith despite less than optimal circumstances.

AFAIK, thats a good example.

You won't find that concept anywhere in Scripture. Our purpose is to glorify God. Our purpose is to let His light shine through us so that the world will see our good works (actually His good works in us) and will give Glory to God. On the subject of judging others, Jesus said to get the beam out of your own eye before you try to get the mote (speck) out of your brother's eye.
