man serving time for sexually assaulting a developmentally disabled woman on a Metro Transit bus has been charged with an almost identical crime.
Herbert Lee House III, 23, who is serving a five-year sentence for a Feb. 22 assault, was charged Tuesday with third-degree criminal sexual conduct after allegedly unzipping the pants of a woman next to him on a Metro Transit bus Aug. 24, 2010, and assaulting her with his hand.
The woman, who has fetal alcohol syndrome, was "completely frightened and didn't know what to do," according to the criminal complaint. She said she got off the bus to get away from House, but he exited, too, and pushed her up against a wall on Jenks Avenue. He tried to rape her but ran away when he saw that a woman across the street was watching, the complaint said.
