Steyn’s dissertation on the societal situation in England is right on. It as well applies to the growing situation that we have in this country. The only difference here is that we still have productive people in this country who raise their children to respect the belief that people must work to have and, in addition, that we have a very diverse population here. It is our cities that will suffer, and are suffering, the same fate as England. When I think of the current situation in England, I'm reminded of the character Onslow in the British comedy "Keeping up Appearances". If I recall, Onslow hasn't worked a single day in his life, earns his money through betting on horses, spends his time drinking beer, eating crisps and smoking cigarettes, and watching television.
