“How in the hell do they do this while “working” in congress?”

Typically they have their spouse collecting juicy government contracts that they write appropriations/laws that benefit the spouses business. It’s all a wink wink nod nod type of thing with the government agencies being told to give the contract to so-and-so company.

I hope that's a rhetorical question, but just it case it isn't, here's how:

1. Campaign contributions -- plenty of loopholes so they get to keep all of what they don't use for campaigns. They also can give each other campaign donations. Cute, huh?!

2. Their own political action committees.

3. Insider information.

4. Kickbacks.

5. Outright bribes.

6. Big salaries, benefits, per deims and expense reimbursements.

7. Tax breaks/deductions they enact for themselves.

8. Automatic annual cost-of-living adjustments.

I could go on,but you get the idea.

Insider trading.

Passing laws that benefit their foreign investments, like Dianne Feinstein shutting down American steel industry so her steel mills in china can manufacture the steel for the San Francisco Bay bridge rebuild.

Members of Congress are actually exempt from insider trading laws. Unfortunately, I’m being dead serious and not joking.
