Attacks continue after Grad rocket directly strikes home in Be'er Sheva on Saturday night, killing one person and seriously wounding four.
The escalation in southern Israel continued Sunday morning when six rockets and a barrage of mortars hit near the city of Ashkelon. The Iron Dome system successfully shot down three rockets.
Earlier, a Grad rocket directly struck a home in the southern city of Be'er Sheva on Saturday night, killing one person and seriously wounding four. 26 people are being treated for shock.

Great... my friend’s sister and family are on their way to Israel for a tour.
If it was me, I would have driven them into the ocean just like they would like to do to me. I would have done it 30 years ago before all this crap.
The problem was, they have a left wing too, they wanted to be nice, also the left was greedy, they thought all these people living in these occupied territories were going to be in their camp. They did their typical game of exploitation and division and they got suicide bombers instead of voters.
Now would be a good time to take Gaza back and send all of the people into Egypt. Level everything in Gaza. Then mine it. Any Muslim in Israel that protests, send them packing too.
It really is past time to get rid of the rabid dogs of islam.
Intercepting cheap surplus 122mm unguided ‘Grad’ rockets with very expensive ‘Iron dome’ anti-missile rockets is a loosing strategy. No one can afford to do that in the long run.
Counterbattery detection is incredibly sophisticated nowadays; a lot of the improved technology has come out of the war in Afghanistan. It should be easy to pinpoint the launch points where these Grads and Qassams are coming from, and then BOMB THE S#$T OUT OF THEM!!
Oh, I forgot, the Hamas humanitarians use hospitals and schools as missile launching sites. But anyway, push the Jews hard enough with their backs against the wall and they’ll come out swinging and there will be hundreds of Arab dead just like before, which proves once again that,
“Stupidity is repeating the same failed strategy and expecting a different outcome.”

Ground offensives are dangerous. The usual objective is occupation which won't work well in this case. Israel needs to identify the populated areas that these missiles are being launched from, and then devastate one or two with indiscriminate aerial bombardment. If that doesn't flush the rocket launchers out of the cities, then repeat. Sooner or later they will stop.
