I got the basic idea from a slogan that popped into my head yesterday that's both a play on his initials and an allusion to Reagan's 1980 campaign. The slogan itself was:

Rick Perry for President: the Road to Prosperity

From that I started thinking about using highway sign imagery to come up with Perry graphics.

Here's the first one I came up with (it plays off of the color scheme for the interstate markers):
