A photo ID is required for banking, post office for certain pick-ups, buying tobacco and alcohol, and a lot of things.

But for voting (the bedrock of our Republic) it is racism.

I hate liberals.

The only people who are against voter ID are either ignorant or supporting voter fraud.

The Legislature may restrict that right by passing laws requiring voter registration and proof of residency as well as laws to exclude felons and those judged mentally incompetent, according to the constitution.

Does that mean you can ban DemocRATS?

Incredible that any American would have trouble with having someone show an ID in order to vote, something you have to do to get a credit card, library card, take out a loan, apply for a passport (except Obambi), etc.

We all know why.

They'll be printing up write in ballots by the hundreds of thousands, dispersing them around the country in various automobile trunks, illegal aliens (Obambi included), felons, dead people, etc. will be able to cast ballots. And you'll be able to "vote early and often" all over the country.

This could be the absolutely dirtiest and crime filled election in 2012 thanks to the dummycrat party . . . and we have the RINOs to blame for doing NOTHING to stop this disaster. Nothing. Not a stinkin' thing!

I'm sure everyone here has noticed that there are never any lawsuits against banks, video rental stores, stores that sell cigarettes and alcohol, etc. etc. etc., who ALSO require photo IDs.

Only laws requiring photo ID to vote are challenged and deemed "discriminatory"......

Very limited student IDs?

We have some very limited students here too, but I don't think we have special IDs for them.

The League of Women Voters should change their name to the League of Democratic Women Voters.

Isn’t Lester Pines the one Scott Walker fired, along with the firm he worked at, that was working on the Domestic Partner law?

"He said that small numbers of state residents are citizens but lack a birth certificate because of unusual circumstances in their lives, making it difficult to obtain an ID."

Yeah WHO? Bring them to us and well deal with it! Talk about b.s.

The League of Women Voters has now been reduced to being an arm of the left-liberal lawsuit-activist Democrat-progressive machine.

Think of that next time a LWV sponsored ‘nonpartisan’ debate is set up.

The League of Women Voters around here is 90% Democrat and 10% Communist — at least it seems that way. Is it the same in other communities?

It’s not as though they respect the rule of law to begin with, and violate it at every turn, but I guess that they wouldn’t be being consistent if they didn’t knee-jerk complain about this, too.

To: Hunton Peck; All
I took a business trip recently. I had to show official picture ID (valid Drivers License or Passport) for the following:

1. Checking in and checking Luggage at the Airport.

2. Going through TSA security

3. Picking up Rental Car at destination airport

4. Picking up packages pre-shipped at UPS & Fed Ex both

5. Checking into Hotel

6. Checking into facility I was working at (every damn day)

7. Getting a Drink at Dinner (Restaurant Policy-They card everyone according to the Waiter even if they look 90).

So how can any sane person complain about having to show picture ID to vote? Preposterous!

The plain and simple fact it that the Democrats want more illegals and other unqualified people to vote because they know full well they are gonna get 90-something percent of those voters. Simple as that.

Yeah, the liberals are gearing up for some old fashion voter fraud. People need picture ID to fly, drive, cash a check, rent a hotel room, enter a hospital, see a physician etc. So the Dems saying it will supress minority or elderly voting is hog wash and outright lies. I am a elderly minority, and I have picture ID.
