TRIPOLI, Libya -- The euphoria that followed the rebels' triumphant march in Tripoli gave way to confusion and wariness Monday, as Moammar Gadhafi remained at large, his son Seif al-Islam made a surprise appearance at a hotel with foreign journalists and pockets of loyalist forces stubbornly resisted rebel efforts to take control of the capital.

Time will tell,these guys are Liars on or near the level of Obama!
It’s funny, watching Lawrence of Arabia’s Don Quixote act. It drags on and on. And it will be a while, before Europe gets its little bit of oil cheap from the Islamist “rebel” retards.
So Barry’s big speech today “from the halls of Martha’s Vineyard to the Shores of Tripoli” (Thanks Mark Steyn, that was hilarious.) might have been a bit premature?
This will turn into another Iran with the Muslim Brotherhood in control and revenge killings will commence in the chaos.

You are right, this is much too rich a prize,in the bedlam they will consolidate their power.
Like Iraq, the problem isn’t deposing the dictator (though the Obama is taking a bit longer than Bush’s 3 days flat), it’s filling the subsequent power vacuum - a vicious boots-on-the-ground process which takes years.
The rebels ease into Tripoli just may be a: “Will you walk into my parlour?” said the Spider to the Fly,
‘Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I’ve a many curious things to shew when you are there.”
Fighting the rebels out in the open desert with no ground to air weapons or cover from the worlds most powerful air forces is bad. Fighting them in a densely populated city where NATO air strikes would certainly produce much collateral damage is another story altogether.
Very well said. Anyone who has had at least a little urban warfare training and/or instruction would suspect the same.
They have traded the devil they new for the Satan they don’t know. The new Satan is gratified. He, too, will have an inaugural address over which the wise can pour, in search of yet more wisdom.
The problem with the Quadaffists fighting in Tripoli is that it is not a dense city at all, especially the parts that seem to be held by the Quadaffi forces. They wont be safe from airstrikes.
And the rebels have repeatedly succeeded in urban fighting anyway. They have performed quite well in street fighting in many places over the last six months.
