SANTA ROSA -- Sonoma County prosecutors filed charges Monday against an allegedly unlicensed driver who authorities say ran over a 4-year-old boy in a Santa Rosa crosswalk and sped off.
Marcos Lopez Garcia, 22, was charged in Superior Court with felony hit-and-run as well as two misdemeanors, vehicular manslaughter and driving without a valid license. He made an initial court appearance Monday but did not enter a plea.
Garcia, who is being held without bail because federal officials suspect him of being an illegal immigrant, has two previous arrests for driving without a license, records show. Five days before Thursday's crash, police said, he was told not to drive until a court appearance in October.

What a sad, preventable tragedy.

He's a huge white-haired bear of a man who projects a quiet confidence and strength. He is a presence. He is very smart and pro-CCW/2nd Amendment. We are lucky to have him.
Guaman told police he had a green light at the intersection and, while making the turn, the motorcycle came out in front of him and caused the accident.
What a friggin' laugh...and a lie. I live a 1/2 mile from that intersection. There is no traffic light at that intersection!
So how could that drunk f*¢* even see a green light?
There is a stop sign which Guaman ran through. You run that stop sign and oncoming traffic in both directions has no chance to avoid you. It's a small intersection.
Guaman better hope he never makes bail.
