I’ve heard that over and over...Obama’s done nothing for the black community. But I say...what’s he to do for the black community? Whatever it is that would satisfy them (and they typically act as though they’re never satisfied), would probably tick off the majority of the population. They want wealth distribution - free rent, free food, free transporation, free medical care, free education, they want everything for free, because IMHO at the very core of the black race in America is the victim mentality that believes they are owed all those things because of what happened to their ancestors. Until the black community accepts the fact that they are no longer owed anything because of the past, and that they need to be responsible and to work like everybody else for a better life for they and their children’s future, nothing is ever going to change. It’s only going to get worse, especially in light of the fact that an estimated 70% of black babies are born to young, single mothers. It’s a disaster-in-the making. Just think of what’s going to happen so long as the black community continues with this trend, once the current older-generation of responsible African-Americans dies off. They are the last of those to set an example for their black community offspring, and once they are gone, the majority of blacks IMHO will not want to assimilate in with what they perceive as the “white” man’s culture. I hope I’m wrong, but it doesn’t take a genius or even a Harvard grad to see the direction our country is headed.

You are spot on with this analysis Maryjean.The Democrats simply moved our black fellow Americans from the plantations to the ghetto's It is my opinion from a rudimentary reading of history that the democrat party does not want equal rights for the blacks in our society.They continualy give them things,ie food stamps,welfare,subsidized rent so they will keep voting for their own enslavement. Look at Dr Thomas Sowell,Dr Walter Williams,Gen.Colin Powell.Lt Col Allen West.and the list goes on,they either had parents or the intestinal fortitude to break the cycle and they have all become better for it.Add to that our contry has benefited from these great men. I just saw a you tube clip of Dr Sowell explain the difference between Liberalism and Conservatism.He put forth the idea that Liberals want to help those in poverty while the Conservatives want to END poverty.The old saying applies here.”Give a man a fish he will eat today,teach him how to fish he will eat every day” Maybe not an exact quote but you get the idea.
