This is New England, kiddies. We’re supposed to be leathery old yankees who can ride out any-damn-thing, from the redcoats to hurricanes to nor’easters.

You're so silly. Don't you know you can't protect yourself, that the govt must protect you? You should be ignoring the weather reports in favor of MTV or cartoons, so you'll be completely surprised when the storm hits. Afterward, you should find the nearest TV camera and look as stupid and incompetent as possible, blaming the Tea Party for the hurricane and complaining because no one from the govt has yet arrived at your house with food, water, clothes (new, not any of those used donations), and all of the other things you need but were too irresponsible to buy for yourself.
