VINEYARD HAVEN, Mass. - Hurricane Irene accomplished what an uprising in Libya and a sour economy could not: Force President Barack Obama to cut his Martha Vineyard's vacation short.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest announced Friday that Obama would return to Washington tonight, saying the president "felt it was prudent to be at the White House" as the hurricane makes landfall.

Wouldn’t you think he would have gotten the hint by now? Flies, rats. wasps, mice, a storm last year, hurricane this year, two volcano eruptions, lightning, an earthquake...and I probably missed some.

I heard they were staying and only he was coming back early. Big deal. One night.
Fox just reported that they were staying for their WHOLE vacation. He comes back “early”, then chastises the rest of us to follow emergency personnel's directions; there is a hurricane coming, so we need to get to safety; etc. Do the Secret Service, et. al., have to shut down communications, roads, keep boats away, etc. if just SHE stays? Even if he doesn't mind staying in the face of a hurricane, he/they should think of all the people they are putting in danger with their childish, narcissistic behavior: the Secret Service, military, ALL the people of Martha's Vineyard, their staff, and their family. I guess someone finally got threw to him about what his behavior was doing to his poll numbers. Jerk! (can I say that and not get in trouble with the SS??)
