I’m in Maryland and my husband has done most of it (Bless his heart). He fired up the generator to make sure that was working and purchased a new chain for his chain saw. I have plenty of food and extra water. Flashlights have brand new batteries, a few battery powered candles as well. Just for my own SANITY, I purchased a few items to keep the younger kids occupied in case the power goes out. For example, the girls have two little bird houses they can paint and a few other craft type items. (I fully understand that crafts aren’t for survival... Just Mom’s state of mind).
