How do you genetically test someone for being gay?

It's easy.

Put him in a government school.

When he's 5, ask him about his sexual thoughts.

When he's 6, ask him if he's sexually attracted to girls.

When he's 7 and still thinks girls have cooties, tell him he's a "questioning youth".

When he's 8, tell him that sodomites have made important contributions to the world.

When he's 9, ask him if he's ever looked at another boy's genitals.

When he's 10, tell him that calling other boys "fag" is a hate crime.

When he's 11, show him a film explaining the mechanics of sodomizing.

When he's 12 and making the emotional break from his mother, send him to see a coddling and sympathetic male "counselor".

When he's 13 or 14, "mentor" him through puberty by performing sodomite acts on him.

Surprise, surprise! He's "genetically gay"!

[’“People aren't’t born smokers or drinkers. They’re almost certainly born gay. So your analogy doesn't’t work (IMO).”

You are totally wrong on this, you should research more.

The same type of changes in genes that predispose someone to being gay exist for drinking and smoking.

If you genetically test people for being gay, you find heterosexuals that have been normally married for 40 years.’]

Except, if you were born in a country that had no alcohol (say Am. Indians before Europeans) or a land w/ no tobacco (say Europeans before Am. Indians) that would never come out.

But a genetic inclination to homosexuality always will, because there are always going to be men and women. Also, I think you can make an argument that a relationship w/ a partner is part of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. It's so basic to human existence, not like smoking or drinking.

That said, I said “(IMO)”, because I realize others disagree. So that's it, we just disagree.

You may have stumbled into the wrong website to push your queer agenda. - beagle’

It's a states’ rights agenda, but don't worry about it.

I'm sure these ideas of yours won't rebound on you, when liberals argue for a national law to make ALL states respect civil unions/gay marriage and they use your own legal philosophy against you...except people that call people “queers” usually live in trailers hiding out from the ATF, not arguing before the SCOTUS...so forget I said anything.

“One, support sending a federal constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman to the states for ratification.”

But since the President has nothing to do w/ con amendments, it's basically just his private opinion like any other citizen.

Ultimately, it's debated by the states (the the very high 3/4 requirement, before anything can be done).

Fine, even in countries without tobacco, they have these genes.

You know my point very well, you can be born with any of these genes but you have a choice ... you aren’t born that way .. you are born with certain strengths and weaknesses as human beings....aka genes.

Nothing is predetermined...nothing

Right on, Let them be Gay as the Day is Long, but don’t ask me to say it is anything different than any other sexual deviancy or human perversion.

Gay Rights, that is what this means .... me accepting the two guys playing with vegetables in the bathroom stall at the mall is normal and acceptable behavior....its not

So can Smokers get a pass now?

I wasnt asking how you perform a genetic test. I know how it is done.
What I was asking is how can you say someone is genetically gay if there is no “gay gene” identified? Because as per my knowledge, no such gene exists.

There are gays with the gene, and without it.

Um....no. Keep in mind that Dean Hamer is a homosexual.

My Genes Made Me Do It! - Homosexuality and the scientific evidence.

Chapter 1, Page 21

Hamer said: “We have not found the gene—which we don’t think exists—for sexual orientation.”

Chapter 9, Page 171

The scientific community realises that “our genes do not make us do it”. Hamer has always believed that. To give him the last word: “There will never be a test that will say for certain whether a child will be gay. We know that for certain.” This means as clearly as anyone could state, that no-one is born gay

I believe in gay rights,

Not on FR.

If you support the homosexual agenda you are anti-Constitution and you'll get the zot from FR!

If you aren’t born gay, then it is a choice....and we don’t give rights to choices.

The guy is saying that there isn’t going to be a gay gene test, he is wrong, there is a test.....the problem is that most of the people with the gene are heterosexual proving that you aren’t predetermined.

I am actually glad that there is a gay gene, it actually proves the point.

There is also a cocaine gene, a tobacco gene, etc...

Genes do not control behavior. Even homosexual geneticists say that. The “gay gene” meme was for propaganda purposes and was pushed in the book “After the Ball”. Even Simon LeVay admitted it was a lie for propaganda. If people believe that homosexuals have no control over choice and behavior they’d be more sympathetic. Homosexual gene theory is pure BS.

Not trying to be funny at all. Sarcastic - though I didn’t think the /sarc tag was necessary.

Sodomites are made, not born. Sure, some make the decision all on their own, led by their own perversity. But far too many are lured into the trap by adults in our homosexualized society.

Genetic, my eye. (Although the more sodomites they can make, the more likely the ignorant will fall for that lie - particularly those who’ve fallen into the sodomy trap.)

There isn’t a Gay Gene that is 100% but there is a gay gene.

There are tests for it if you google it.

The problem is, the gay gene they found is very common and proves that even if you have the gay gene you don’t have to be gay.

There are more heterosexuals with the gene than homosexuals.

This is a really embarrassing situation for the gay lobby, and this is the reason they have back tracked to say there isn’t anything called the “Gay” gene.

I garentee that if they didn’t find hetrosexuals with this gene, they would have been trumpeting this from the mountain tops saying they don’t have any control over their actions.

There are cocain, tobacco, achohol, and countless other genes that make you predisposed to a bad habit.

I think this is what Perry is saying ....’ ultimately it is up to you ... don’t wimp out son, do the right thing.’

Genes this or that notwithstanding, do you really doubt that some people are born predisposed to homosexuality?

Specifically, do you realize that there are people who simply derive no pleasure from the opposite gender?

I'm not talking about it from a choice perspective, but a personal enjoyment perspective.

There is no “gay” gene. Homosexual researchers have looked and looked, hoping to find one. There isn’t one. Your link goes to a google search of generic gene testing info/kits and links which have nothing - nada - zilch - to do with a homosexual gene.

Homosexuals have been screaming “We’re born this way!!!” for decades and have looked and looked and looked for some biological or genetic cause for homosexuality and have had to admit defeat. (Although they are loathe to admit this publicly as they want to keep the lie of “born that way” among the public for its victimology value.)

BUT - the causes are known and understood, but naturally the pro-”gay” crowd hate the real causes to be known, because since they are NOT born that way, but MADE - by a number of factors - they can also be CURED - healed - changed - and countless numbers have left the “gay” life.

The causes are psychological - absence of father, abusive or distant father, single mothers, and most especially, being molested at an early age most usually by an older homosexual, are all common among homosexuals. The current pro-homosexual experimenation sex-ed, media and entertainment are nothing more than recruitment propaganda to get kids to “try it” and once they “try it” they are told: “If you’ve had one ‘gay’ thought/desire/experience you’re “BORN THAT WAY” and cannot change! HA HA now you are one of us!!” This disgusting and cruel lie ruins many lives.

The link below has excellent information and more links, explaining exactly how homosexuals “get that way”, and it is most definitely not by birth, and not genetic or in any way biological. That doesn’t mean it’s a “choice” - most people with attraction to the same sex do not choose to have that attraction (although some do make that choice and admit it), but any sex act anyone performs is a choice. Some people with same sex attraction choose to remain celibate, and some choose to seek help to change. The more the truth is out there - the more will seek help.

Please click the FR link below and read at the links posted on the thread, the information is clear and easily understandable, the truth is what is important, not fiction.

Not born this way: The facts, plus help available

Without any reputable evidence, the entertainment culture, uneducated media, and sexual activists have seduced today’s teenagers, in particular, to believe that people are born homosexual.

However, science has found no biological basis for homosexuality, bisexuality, or transsexuality.

Study after study has found the “LGBT” lifestyle to be unhealthy, with the highest rate of sexually-transmitted diseases, and higher cancer rates and earlier deaths.

While all people are worthy and valuable, the fact is people are not “born this way,” as a popular song insists.

On this page you will find:

1. The facts on homosexuality
2. Resources to overcome homosexual behavior and gender identity disorder
3. An important video message titled “Does God Love Gay People?”
4. Some personal stories from people who used to live a homosexual lifestyle

Homosexuality is not innate; no biological origin
