Not enough rain...probably
Bingo. Mosquitos can’t breed without shallow water.

They're dying from HIV infection.

Probably using DDT but concealing that fat so as to to set off a global embargo. That was my first thought too - my second was 'what if some liberal decides to 'save the mosquitoes'? They're nutty enough to do it.

Is this supposed to be bad news? We just returned from Yellowstone and the Tetons. I sure wish the damn bugs would disappear from there. And we were told they were mild in July compared to May - June when the horses were just covered with them this year.

Drought and starvation sees to be working pretty well. ;-)

Could it be drought.
Isn’t Somilia in trouble because they haven’t had rain in 4 years?

You win.
If I hear any more bombastic eyewash about the efficacy of “bed nets” I’ll strangle a (foam replica) Osprey.

scientists are unsure as to why. ?
My guess would be that the globally banned DDT is being blackmarketed and used there..........lets hope so.

You are correct.
As an aside, any good chemist can make DDT at home. All the ingedience to make DDT are found at google. The only thing is that I did not find the measurments for the recipe. But then, a good chemesist would know it already.

Probably using DDT but concealing that fat so as to to set off a global embargo.Thats the first thing that I thought of. DDT does wonders against mosquito's, lasts a long time, and one needn't use a whole lot of it.
