Parker has become more and more vitriolic after being spurned by Elliott Spitzer.

Is she the new Maureen Dowd?

Did it ever occur to Ms. Parker that republicans want someone who can beat Obama?

I think it points to a battle between fly over republicans and eastern seaboard Rino’s for control of the GOP.

A biochemical product of random chance has little chance for moral development.

It’s tough to trust the ‘advice’ of idiots who fell for Obama hook, line and sinker and then complain about the lack of intelligence amongst the Obama-disliking grassroots.

Republicans don’t want to vote for scumbags, why is this seen as a problem by this vile witch?

In 2001, Perry expressed his pride in the enactment of the statute extending in-state tuition to children of undocumented workers.

He said:

We must say to every Texas child learning in a Texas classroom, ìwe donít care where you come from, but where you are going, and we are going to do everything we can to help you get there.î

And that vision must include the children of undocumented workers.

Well, Perry is wrong. Foreign invaders should not get better benefits than citizens from Oklahoma.

Dear Ms Parker,

I’d say that the country really needs a Godly president, congress and press right about now.

I don't think so -- many of Rick Perry's financial backers (he's mortgaged to the eyeballs) are as RiNO-y as Daddy Bush's were, n/w/s Daddy Bush despises Perry as a knuckledragging trailer-trash Dixiecrat and "virtual" Klan member who doesn't know what a shrimp fork is.

Perry's backers tend to be Open-Borders New Money billionaires who employ legions of Mexican nationals sub rosa and like things that way, and don't care if the Mexicans eventually get into American voting booths and vote straight-ticket DemonRat because Tejano Democrats tell them to.

It's a real problem; these guys are as short-sighted as the Carthaginian businessmen who bribed their supreme court to overturn a new sales tax intended to sustain Hannibal in Italy. They beat the tax but lost the war and, eventually, in their grandchildren's time, their city and their families' lives.

And Rick Perry is their guy, bought and paid for. No conservative, he's 100% access-capitalist and crony-capitalist and Available for Rent.

Is there any other reason to explain why a conservative might possibly vote for an absolutist despot like Rick Perry? He thinks “L’etat, c’est moi” is a declaration of “states’” rights.

That doesn’t explain why the eastern seaboard Republican establishment is having a hissy fit over Perry though, does it?

He may be bought and paid for, but it wasn’t the Rockefeller Republicans who wrote the check. If he’s owned, it’s by the nouveau riche instead of the old guard noblesse oblige claque.

Doesn’t break my heart one bit.

Yes, I agree, and I said so on another thread before I saw your reply. He isn't Old Money's candidate -- but I still think he's their tool, too, insofar as he'll be allowed to spoil the campaigns of Michele Bachmann and other conservatives (including especially Sarah Palin's, whom they despise with a passion even more solidly purple), before being offered the VP nod to bring him and the conservatives into camp under the Romney banner. (They still want Romney, they're unshakable in their determination to see him in the White House -- it's just a matter of screwing the rest of us again, like all those other Screw Main Street years: 1952, 1960, 1968 (oh, and don't let me miss counting 1964, when their hatred of Middle America led them nearly to destroy the GOP), 1976 ..... oh, and you get the idea.

Look, Perry's backers are the reason we're likely to have a civil war to keep the Southwest, and even possibly lose control of the whole country. They don't give a damn about anything but dirt-cheap employees feeding their quarterly results, their bottom line. The country can go hang -- and with guys like that picking politicians, it probably will.
