That is a good idea in general...the idea of beginning to change THEIR symbolic days and celebrations, change THEIR words, change THEIR culture. That is what they have done, bit by bit to our culture. We HAD to have MLK day and we HAD to get rid of Washington’s Birthday and Lincoln’s Birthday as official holidays and combine them into the absurd and meaningless “President’s Day.” We HAD to change the names of schools and streets from historic American names to names of their chosen heroes. We HAD to get rid of the things in schools which connected generations of children back to things their grandparents had done, etc. But in no instance can I think of something that changed the other way. So yes, it would be fun to erase or change something that they hold dear.
