FORT LAUDERDALE— Willie David Rice could be commended for his honesty, at least.
In federal court on Thursday to answer to charges that he guarded an Oakland Park brothel, he gave this response when the judge asked about his line of work: "Criminal."
After an awkward pause, Rice, 45, explained he's never had legitimate employment. He was one of three people arrested in May during a raid on the Boom Boom Room, a bordello with underage girls.

But he was getting his life back together going to school (at taxpayer’s expense), working at a bordello, and, and, and...oh nevermind!

Reminds me of watching “Cops” every drunk driver they stop has only had two beers, standard answer. One guy when asked how much he had to drink responded “I don’t know but it was a LOT” which just proves there are a few honest people out there.
Let’s see:
1. This is amusing and does make a minor story.
2. This guy was stupid to say this in this day and age of habitual offender enhancement of sentence. He is begging for a three strikes life sentence if the FEDs have one.
3. It says something really sad about his subculture in the US that he is proud to be a gangsta and is willing to say so in open court.
And...I propose we rename the House and Senate office buildings the Boom Boom Rooms.
“The Boom-boom Room” would be right at home in Olongapo or Angeles.
