Of course it was wrong to take land away from white farmers. But it wouldn’t have mattered who they gave it to, a family farmer just can’t compete.
You should really get off that line of logic. This isn’t about farm science. I know you just want to make that point but that point isn’t relative to the story. This is about racism.

It all depends on what you grow. There are niche markets which are too small for multinational agribusiness, and yet lucrative for individuals, even with 10 acres and a mule.
How many children in the US left family tobacco farms (10 acres and less) and went off to college, all paid for?
Other markets besides tobacco exist, and locally grown produce remains a good way to live reasonably well off 10 acres.
