China acts like a child, swaggering and nasty. There is no reason to attack another nation pre-emptively and when it has been done to us, the results are very unpleasant for the agressor.
Just ask Japan.

Explain how reason and logic got the world into its last two global wars. Explain how reason and logic apply in the current war on terror and will ultimately prevail over the release of WMD against civilian populations.
Alas Babylon.

Except for one thing: we currently have radical Marxists in control of the Executive branch, who may be happy to respond to a Chinese nuke attack with unconditional surrender.
That's one way to cancel the 2012 elections.

No need, China - another year or two with Obama at the helm, and we’ll be permanently destroyed anyway.
To: SatinDoll
Can’t we just send obama over there to do a “bow tour” or something? Maybe they’ll decide it’s not worth the missiles to bomb us while we still have democrats.

It is the duty of military planners to make such plans. That’s what they all do.
There is also such a plan for Ebonia, and if not those officers are derelict,
It’s not personal, it just is
By the way.....It’s 2011 not 1962

[China acts like a child, swaggering and nasty. There is no reason to attack another nation pre-emptively and when it has been done to us, the results are very unpleasant for the agressor.] C'mon!!! Iraq? Kosevo? Libya? Anyway and if I may say so, this is but yet another of Gordon's out of equilibrium and consistent geriatric-like mental state of rant and logics designed to capture simple-minded readership such as yourselves. I mean others than NATO which have designs on everyone, why would countries which have no forces outside of their country even consider a policy of preemption unless it's to guard against silly ideas that these same people or forces might have on them?

It makes no sense for China to attack us. Soon they’ll own the deed, however, if they could utterly destroy us then yes, maybe it does make sense, they can easily raise a 200 million man army and rule the world, if I was into that kind of thing, I’d give it a try ...
But don’t worry, we won’t prepare for it.

Attack the US? Don’t see it happening. Regardless of our leadership, we still have the most powerful military by far.
Attack Taiwan? THAT I’ve been predicting for a while. Expect they’d have a quiet chat on a secure phone with the O, our navy would wander out of the Pacific, massive debts would be quietly forgiven, and Taiwan duly annexed.
