One way to stop this nonsense would be to elect a President who would put in place an AG and Justice department that would go after cops like this for civil rights violations.
Another way is for citizens to stand up and stop rolling over for this sort of bullshit. Armed citizens could easily stop further abuses by the government and their thuggish representatives. All it takes is a spine, firearms, and the will to use them.
