PARTY AFFILIATION: Both. Patriarch David King Udall, a Mormon polygamist, had 12 kids, six with each of his two wives. The descendants of his wife Eliza have been Democrats, and descendants of his wife Ida have been Republicans.
FAMILY ROOTS: Udalls have been elected to public office in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oregon, and members of the extended family have also been elected in California and Utah.
DYNASTY: Four generations of Udalls have been involved in Western politics, starting with David King Udall, a scion of the early Mormon church (and good buddy of Miles Romney, Mitt Romney's great-grandfather), and the family tree is littered with mayors, judges, and councilmen. Their second cousin Mike Lee is a Republican Senator from Utah, and another second cousin, Gordon Smith, a Republican, represented Oregon in the U.S. Senate from 1998 to 2009.

A federal foundation has been established to honor the more prominent members of the Udall clan

The westernmost point of the US is Point Udall (Guam).
The easternmost point of the US is Point Udall (U. S. Virgin Islands).
Don't forget the Clintons and the Obamas.
Well, to simplify things let’s just call all the land in-between Udall-land.
Please don’t. We need all the Kennedy-despisers we can get our hands on.
