Funny you should say that. Wyatt Earp actually lived very near Quartzsite in the later years of his life. After he "retired," he made his way to the Lower Colorado River across from Parker, Arizona (a little north of Quartzsite on the California side).
The town is named after him. It's called Earp, California, just north of Big River and west of Parker.
Of course, he wouldn't recognize Quartzsite at all.
In the winter months, it's the RV capital of North America. Bumper to bumper. It's amazing!
