Michele Bachmann's allies are telling South Carolina voters that Rick Perry is not an "honest conservative."
A super PAC connected to Bachmann, the Republican presidential candidate and representative from Minnesota, has announced its plans to air an ad in the the second-in-the-nation primary state of South Carolina that questions the tea party credentials of Perry, the Texas governor who has upended the 2012 campaign.
"Rick Perry says he's one tough hombre on spending" the narrator says in the ad, before criticizing Perry's record in Texas.
"Rick Perry doubled spending in a decade. And this year, Rick Perry is spending more money than the state takes in, covering his deficits with record borrowing," the ad continues. "And he's supposed to be the tea party guy?"
"There is an honest conservative--and she's not Rick Perry," the ad concludes. It is paid for by "Keep Conservatives United," a group that supports Bachmann's candidacy.

True, Perry is no conservative.
Unfortunately it’s a lot of money and energy being spent softening up one of the two electable Republicans for the purpose of promoting a candidacy with no immediate future.
Perhaps she is, unfortunately she stands little chance of victory in the general election. Period.
Those are my thoughts too.
Bachman isn’t electable , Perry is.
It’s about time. Now they need to focus on Perry and his obscene pandering to La Raza and CAIR. The Reconquista has already converted California from a state which elected Ronald Reagan into one which will never again elect even a RINO like Carly Fiorina. CA is the future of America unless Third World immigration is not stopped, but you can forget about stopping it if Slick Rick is elected. He only cares about his short-term political future, not that of our Republic.
He is a corporate welfare pay to play and has no set ideology, he is a gummie politician
Romney is the liberal MSM choice for republican candidate.
Perry is the conservative MSM choice for republican candidate..
Bachmann IS THE ONLY conservative choice for republican candidate..
And the TpCaucus support her.. not them..
The election results in their respecetive states show otherwise. Bachmann has won repeatedly against tough, well-funded Dem opponents in a state with a strong Dem organization. The only thing Perry has proven is he can win a super safe Republican state when he has laughable "opposition". I wouldn't be surprised if Perry has trouble winning his own state in the GOP presidential primary as voters learn more and more about the real Rick Perry.
And Palin’s the honest conservative with executive experience—perfect!
I tend to agree with Bachmann. However, I remember Carter was the “true Christian” in his first race for President.
I will choose the candidate who can actually get stuff done. I’m more of a conservative than Perry myself, but’d I’d vote for him before I’d vote for me. You would be advised to do the same.
Congressmen make terrible presidents, generally speaking. I really prefer ex-governors, but even that is no guarantee you’ll get what you think you paid for.
Stuff your crap about “executive experience.” What has electing governors with “elective experience”—like Carter, Clinton, and Bush—gotten us? The President does not micromanage the nation, at least in the conservative view (you are a conservative, aren’t you?). He/she merely sets the overall course. We need someone who has the right principles and is honest. We do not need someone who has spent his entire life running for and holding elective office, by pandering to every special interest in his state, including the nation’s mortal enemies, La Raza and CAIR.
I’m a Palin backer—not a fan of Rick Perry at all. In fact, I think I’d back Bachmann, Cain, heck, even Romney or Gingrich, ahead of Perry at this point.
And if I’m that turned off to Perry, I imagine more voters will be too—once they actually get to know him.
But sorry, executive experience matters more now than ever. Sure, I’m not for a liberal with executive experience (or a Marxist without executive experience, while we’re at it), but I want to know that an incoming president knows how to deal with the executive side of government (and is suited to doing so) in relationship with the legislature, etc..

When it comes to honesty, this attack is hardly sets the standard.
She lies at every appearance. She claims to have been unmovably against raising the debt ceiling but signed a pledge to do it.
She denied having farm income and her congressional disclosure forms show, in fact, she claimed farm income.
Pawlenty was a jerk in the last debate but he had her number when he called her out for playing fast and loose with the facts.
