Here's the real story. Obama had to land to meet the Ghost Writer for his Big Speech coming up next week. At this point I can't say that I know who wrote the Speech, but Bill Ayers is a possibility. Either him or Maxine Waters.
Obama will spend the weekend looking it over so he'll know when the sneaky TelePrompter tries to put words in his Golden mouth.
OK - there was a supposed security threat. In addition, it seems there was something else- a paramour, donor, hidden visitor, medical isssue which they want to keep hidden, who knows what? VERY weird behavior.

Does anyone remember the news story of late 2009/2010 that specifically mentioned that ‘the President is unavailable’? No one knew where he was.
Then, there was that picture of him walking off the grounds of the White House to someplace undescribed. No press. No (apparent) security.
The man does get his orders, apparently, occasionally in person.
that was the first thing I thought too. Frederick airport is very close to Cp David, it’s almost out of the way. There was a direct threat or the helicopter had some sort of major malfunction. The friggin weather was perfect, I actually wish it was raining because we need it.

I think there are security protocols in place that no individual POTUS can override. I.e., when 9/11 happened, Bush followe the SS protocol for a catastrophic event. The MSM yapped that he hadn’t returned immediately to the WH, which may have been his personal preference, but those in charge of the safety of the POTUS for which MILLIONS of dollars are expended annually, make those decisions, not the POTUS.
There is something terribly wrong when behavior like this is permitted. This isn’t the first time Obama has ditched the press, and snuck off for undisclosed reasons.

My best guess is that there was a threat, this being the week before the 9/11 tenth anniversary.
It sucks to be Obama.
