My local news at 6pm central, reported that a small aircraft had crossed into restricted airspace near Camp David. It was told to land, and escorted by military planes to the designated landing area.

Meantime, marine 1 was diverted, and converted to a motorcade. How stupid of the W.H. press team to make up a stupid story about the weather, when it was perfectly clear that there was no significant bad weather.

Someone on another forum that lives near CD described fighters buzzing the area for awhile. Sounds like you’re correct.

“a small aircraft had crossed into restricted airspace near Camp David. It was told to land, and escorted by military planes to the designated landing area.”

This would make sense if they had simply said this and not lied about it for several hours. I wonder if after several hours of thinking about it they finally came up with a credible story.

Or maybe procedure is they can't release that information.
Did they lie when there was no reason to or was there something they were trying to cover up?

CNN reported they were two separate, distinct events- that the stray plane had NOTHING to do with the motorcade or Marine One.
