America's Longest War

One of the favorite talking points of the liberal press is to point out that war in Afghanistan is the longest in American History.

This month we will take time to remember the events of 9-11 and how it changed our lives. As Americans we must remember that we did not start this war.

Regardless of how the media tries to spin it, history proves this is not the longest war in America’s history. This is a myth and the liberals are being downright dishonest about it.

America’s involvement in Vietnam began in the 1950s and an exact date of the beginning of our involvement is still being debated by historians, but according to general consensus “the end date is generally assumed to be 29 Mar 73 – when the last US troops left Viet Nam.” (1)

The last American in Vietnam was killed on May 15,1975 during the Mayaguez incident. (2)

The cold war lasted from 1946 to the fall of the Soviet Empire in 1991. 382 American lost their lives due to hostile action between the United States and the Soviet Union.

The Korean War began 25 June 1950 and despite an armistice and a cessation of hostilities,a state of war still exists to this day on the peninsula.

So it could be argued that these wars are the longest in American History but it’s not even close.

Not only that but they go on and on about the "Iraq War". The Iraq War is the shortest war in American History. The invasion occurred on March 20, 2003. The war was declared ended by Prez Bsh on May 1 2003.

The internet says that the war is still ongoing even though a constitution was written, an election has occurred, and a parlimentary government was formed.

Osama Bin Laden declared war on the US in 1996. Prez Clinton didn't want to mess up his re-election efforts on such a miner problem. He and all the lie barrels blame Bush for 911.

Marx and Lenin were avid revisionist of history and Obimbo has taken lie ping to a hole new level!

America’s longest war was considerably longer than Viet Nam, and considerably longer than the life of any man.

CoachisNOTright.

The war with Islam began with Americans before we were a nation. The first military action after the Revolutionary War was when Jefferson sent the marines to Tripoli.

Time to finish that war. Islam is antithetical to, and is irreconcilable with, America.

Islam’s war against civlization is only just beginning.

We have been at war with Islamic Terror longer than we have been a nation. The Muslims of the Barbary Coast preyed upon our ships and demanded “tribute” -and violated the treaties they had dictated at will .... one way or another we have had some Muslim— or another think we were not worthy of equal terms with Muslim.

Two long wars. One won after 268 years of intermittent hostilities 1622 through 1890. One started before Columbus arrived, and that sucked us in as premature infants. THAT still continues. One intra-national, the other once international, and now a-national.
