At 10:52 AM ET this morning, while preparing my helpful speech tips for Zero's "9-8-jobs-can-wait" speech I heard Ron Insana, ( no, neither "a" has a long prononciation), say the following: " - - - the mess that we saw over the debt ceiling debate - - -."
In the L.I.E. Media, perception IS reality. To me, IMHBACO, the debt ceiling was a PROBLEM because Zero had spent to much of my grandchildren's future paychecks.
The "Mess" was that the spineless RINOS made their typical Bipartisan Cave-In deal to "cut" only the projected, hypothetical spending increases, which meant squandering, AGAIN, a perfect opportunity to hold the debt-creators accountable, Constitutionally.
The L.I.E. Media sees the political " bickering," and the slowness of the RINOS to finally have a Bipartisan Cave-In as what the "Mess" was to Zero and the Media, respectively.
What say you?
I couldn’t agree more. A spendaholic tween—I won’t even call him a teen—took control of the world’s biggest economy and immediately started spending at, to use one of his favorite terms, ‘unprecedented [not to mention unsustainable] levels. His fellow spendaholics on the left cheered him on, and the few adults in the room either impotently urged restraint or overtly enabled him. He should have been reined in but every time he put the spend-peddle to the metal he received either an implicit or explicit green light.
The result, a debt crisis that to this day nobody is dealing seriously with. How long will we have to wait for DC to confront baseline budgeting??? I’m not holding my breath.
If George Bush hadn’t signed the Stimulus bill with Nancy and Harry, it would be all on the Democrats. Remember it was Bush who said I have abandoned free market principles to save the free market system.
Bullseye! Without the usual Bipartisan Cave-In the debt-creators could not blame their way through a vote on a bill.
” If you can’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.”
For example, Senator Bob Corker went to Sen. Dodd when the now Dodd-Frank Law was languishing in the Senate as a dying bill. Good ol’ Bob helped out his good friend Dodd with some wording and the result was the biggest necktie-party for business the USA has ever seen!
The Republicans and Obama got exactly what they wanted. Each side walked away saying the other side just refused to bargain. The republicans also got a debt commission to make up the cuts for them so they don’t even have to take responsibility for that.
Win-win.
Yeah, but cut 43 a little slack as he learned his economics at Harvard, DUH!
“( - - - How long will we have to wait for DC to confront baseline budgeting??? - - - )”
Let’s not wait
Let’s Storm the gate!
Hands off the plow
Let’s do it now!
Respectfully, of course,
Even if they are

A North-bound horse!
Yep, GWB did that 700 bil. deal, and yes, he left office with a big deficit, but Obama came in an promptly TRIPLED it, with the help of the Democrat Congress and Senate he had in 2008. So, though he tries mightily to hang this around Bush's neck, that ain't gonna fly.
Evidence indicates that GWB allowed the Democrats to spend what they wanted on their domestic programs as long as they would agree to his foreign spending. The last two years shows what happens if the Democrats are given free reign. The only thing stopping them from turning the US into a California is the Tea Party in the House.
Where are the cries that the White House is breaking the law by not submitting a budget for the last two years? They are legally required to do so but you don’t hear a peep. How about the audit that shows Burnacke putting the US on the hook for $16 Trillion, yet where are the Republican cries (except for Ron Paul and a few others)? In fact most Senate Republicans are interested in complaining about how the Tea Party members are “unelectable” than they are about the Democrats. The Senate Republicans who supported Bush and the Democrats are worthless and should be thrown out of office.
” - - - spend-peddle to the metal - - - “ , good one! Missed that when I first read your reply!
“The Senate Republicans who supported Bush and the Democrats are worthless and should be thrown out of office.”
I believe they answer to the name RINO.
