Folks, I did that math...
Unless I am wrong, that is a 8.01 mile...
It was eon's ago like over 20 yrs ago, and I was younger than she is now and I was in great shape at the time and averaged a 7:30 for a 6.2 mile race, and she is 40 something on the high side, and this is 10 miles....
HOLY SMOKES, she is in shape, that is quite a pace.
So the question begs, why did she get in such good shape, for what daunting task was she preparing for this summer? :-)..

“Her reported time: 1:45...that’s for 13.1 miles.”
That is roughly a average time of 8 minutes per mile. That is REALLY good for a woman her age.
Personally, I am impressed.

Running a half marathon at 47 is quite an achievement by itself. That fact that she came in second, and did it incognito, says a lot about Sarah, all of it good.

Heath is of course her Dad’s name. But, man, this is the kind of stuff of legend. I sometimes wonder if this ability to blend in with ordinary people is what turns off the big shots. She treats them as equals, also, and they don’t like that.
