About 40 Israeli passengers on board a Turkish Airlines flight from Tel Aviv to Istanbul were held for several hours by local police on Monday after their passports had been taken away from them. The passengers said that the Turkish police officers were disrespectful, claiming that such an incident was unprecedented. [Snip] Everyone was in shock; we didn't know what they were going to do to us. Obviously this was done intentionally in order to create an unpleasant feeling."

It’s time for another coup in Turkey. They need one every few years so that the army can rein in the muslim militants who infiltrate the government.

Article says it was “tit for tat” over a delay of Turkish travelers at Beb Guron airport. Unfortunately the behavior of the Turkish police brings back bad memories if the highjackings in the 70’s esp Entebbe

Maybe we need a coup d’etat here to get rid of the muslims who have infiltrated the government. And its not just Barry Hussein Obama.

The muslims laugh at us. Why should they bother flying airplanes into buildings anymore when they can undermine and destroy us from within because we are PC?

Any Jew planning to visit Turkey had better think long and hard. They could easily be picked up for questioning and detained indefinitely. Jews with Turkish business and business assets should also make careful decisions and plan for the day when the Islamists confiscate their property for the good of the Turkish state.

I have flown through Istanbul many times enroute to other areas in SW Asia. The Turkish Airline logo is THY. A friend of mine asked me on one particular flight, Do you know what THY means? I said, no. It stands for They Hate You Airlines.

LOL! I haven’t heard that in a long time.

THY=Turk Hava Yollara=They Hate You

Only flight I’ve been on when all the locals clap and cheer when the plane lands.

This time the Islamists have infiltrated the military. The military won't save them again.

Maybe they are cheering because they are still alive? I thought Turkish Airlines had one of the worst safety records.

The World Almanac's list of notable aircraft disasters includes these Turkish ones:

1974, March 3 -- 346 dead
1976, Sept. 19 -- 155 dead
1996, Feb. 6 --189 dead
2003, Jan. 8 -- 75 dead

That's pretty much what I gathered from the experience. The flight to Izmir from Istanbul included the most high g turns I've ever experienced on a commercial aircraft. Luckily I had experience flying nap of the earth in military helicopters. I wasn't nearly as green as some of the other passengers...
