I am not a proponent of taking on a Gandhi type movement. In fact, I am one of those “old grandpa's” from foreign wars (Vietnam). However, the Tea Party has to be smart about the violence issue. We know that the press is not on our side and they will use any incident as an opportunity to present the TP as people of violence and/or bigotry. So, self defense is in order but it must be clear cut and without doubt that we (TP) are defending ourselves from personal harm should the need occur.

Absolutely agreed. Any violence that takes place will be looked at for errors in judgement like Palin is examined for any flaw.

Besides, wither we like it or not, these punks are Americans. Misguided, foolish, brutish ones, but they are our countrymen. The enemies are not the disposable army and straw men of the Leftists, but the ones that hold them in slavery and manipulate them for their own uses.

Self Defense must be just that, but the ballot box is the primary weapon of choice. These foolish punks are the tools of the enemy. The enemy needs to be brought to justice, not vigilantes.
