Dear Editor: In a couple months the citizens of Wisconsin will be free to carry concealed weapons on University of Wisconsin campuses, public property owned by those citizens. But they will be banned from any buildings, also public property they own.
Ive been on a UW campus countless times, but I cant think of a time I was on campus for any purpose that didnt involve entering a campus building.
UW officials apparently dont care that the citizens own these buildings and pay their salary. These officials think gun rights are the right to obtain a permit that allows you to stand in the rain outside a campus building with your gun.
Will us gun owners be provided with separate drinking fountains as well, seeing how were second-class citizens for supporting the Second Amendment?
