Not all of them.
I have first-hand knowledge of government employees who pay a ton into their pension plan, every paycheck.
While I agree with Rush that most of these government pensions are now unsustainable, I also believe arbitrarily changing the rules of the game on the employee (yes, they took the job, but accepted the terms offered them and planned accordingly) is unacceptable, particularly if they are approaching retirement age or are already in the rocking chair.
What outrages me far more than government workers getting a pension are the brain-fried druggies and alcoholics who draw Social Security "disability" for life beginning at age 23, because they're "unable to work."

Yeah, I hear ya. One thing we didn't have was sick leave. If you missed a day of work, you didn't get paid. That was just fine with me. I'll bet I missed less than 20 days due to illness in my whole career.(it was easier to go to work sick than it was to call in) lol I believe if someone is paying you, you are responsible to hold up your end. I have no time for slackers.
I've noticed that in companies where sick leave is provided that it is abused quite a lot, too.
