Better now than later. The Iranians and the Turks will only grow stronger. And the west has already grown so weak that it can't even take out Qaddafi with local ground support. Israel has now friends and isn't likely to get any soon. On the other hand their enemies are growing by the day.

Any delay in the fight just hurts Israel. So fight now. Strike hard and strike first like they did in 1967. Lay waste to Cairo and Damascus. Drive the islamists out of the West Bank and Gaza. What is the world going to do hate them more. Just not possible given the level of hate already present. So they might as well be feared as they are going to be hated no matter what they do. A nation can survive being hated, but they cannot survive being despised.

Despise: verb - to look down on with contempt or aversion.
