"I see. For you, it's about the legalization of drugs. LOL!"

That's all you have? "Nah nah, you're wrong because...um...you do drugs!" Insulting the truth-teller has no effect on the truth. You can toss out whatever silly insult you want about me. I'm just pointing out the truth. For example, that your side's only response to Paul's video was NOT to say something like

"But Rick Perry has explained his core beliefs and how he changed them and why, so Ron Paul is wrong, because Perry has acknowledged his error, and now stands clearly for these enunciated conservative beliefs, based upon a foundation of belief in limited government and rights granted by divine Providence to all men."

Not that you COULD say that, of course, because Mitt Perry hasn't got any of that going for him--but you might have said so. That's not what happened, obviously, because it's not in your talking points. Instead, you all have to say, "Ron Paul and anyone who speaks against our hero Mitt, er, Rick, they're all drug dealing hooker loving doodyheads!"

Just more of the same ol' thing we've come to expect from the RINO wing of the GOP. No principles, no response beyond doing anything to stay in power. And you think parodying iconographic images is disgusting? It's not remotely as disgusting as the parody of conservatism you and your RINO pals present.

I notice the link you posted for Reagan is dated October 24, 1980, just days before the general election.

You're not serious in asking about Perry but I'll treat you seriously.

It's still early days but generally speaking Perry's plan mirrors the Texas work: don't spend all the money, have a fair & predictable regulatory climate, keep taxes as low as possible and tort reform.

Monday at the townhall with Rep Tim Scott, he mentioned 0% taxation on repatriated profits.

He supports a balanced budget amendment. Today he picked up one of the co-authors of Cut, Cap & Balance for his economic team. He'd repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank. He'd cut the Dept of Education (use it as a 'best practices' repository) in favor of block grants. He'd follow an "all of the above" energy independence strategy.

He's personally brought businesses to Texas by going into other states and talking up Texas' business climate at meetings with owners. More importantly, owners have made that move.

His view, like most running, is the federal government is impeding job growth and chasing capital overseas. The difference is record vs. rhetoric. Before business will come off the sidelines and take risks again, they need to have trust.

Not all of the candidates have a record that would encourage business activity. Perry is one who does and, for now, he's the leading conservative candidate among them.

He sees the President as being able to get government out of the way of economic activity or create avenues that foster is such as fair trade.

We'll all see soon enough what the tax specifics and so forth will be for him and other candidates.

"I notice the link you posted for Reagan is dated October 24, 1980, just days before the general election."

And? So? I notice you didn't actually respond under your conservativebuckeye moniker; you might want to keep your handles more separate lest it raise the ire of the Mods at some point. That said, I'll respond to your post as seriously as "Perry" put forth these "policies" as his own.

"It's still early days but generally speaking Perry's plan mirrors the Texas work: don't spend all the money, have a fair & predictable regulatory climate, keep taxes as low as possible and tort reform."

So would pretty much everyone else on the GOP slate. Also, none of this reflects an actual Perry "plan" beyond the luck he's had with others roadblocking liberals for him, that is, conservatives ensuring the first, second and third points of the "plan" for businesses by preventing the Legislature from effecting much change. And the appellate courts' enforcement of the last, which given the Republican bias of the electorate was a given, isn't much of his doing either. Not that he has appointed conservatives when given the chance (see Reece Rondon, Xavier Rodriguez, Carmen Rivera-Worley, Jorge Bernal, Marc Carter, Elizabeth Ames-Jones...). Not that he pushed tort reform because it was "just the right thing to do," either--his chief of staff was the lobbyist for TLR before Perry jumped on that bandwagon. Just like Gardasil was suddenly the right thing to do when his former chief of staff went back to lobbying.

"Monday at the townhall with Rep Tim Scott, he mentioned 0% taxation on repatriated profits."

No kidding he supports that. How else are his foreign donors going to get their money back across from the maquiladoras to donate it for his next campaign? In illegals' knapsacks? Not that I'm for double taxation of corporate income, but really, who's against that in the GOP field anyway?

"He supports a balanced budget amendment."

Right. In theory. Until he has to tackle it at the federal level. Will that be first on his list? Where's he been on the campaign trail touting it before now? He sure didn't mind taking federal money to put the feds in the hole in the first place.

"Today he picked up one of the co-authors of Cut, Cap & Balance for his economic team."

Obama had a Nobel Laureate and former investment bankers. For what that's worth.

"He'd repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank."

So would pretty much everyone else on the GOP slate.

"He'd cut the Dept of Education...

So would pretty much everyone else on the GOP slate.

(use [the Dept of Education] as a 'best practices' repository) in favor of block grants."

Hang on--is the Dept of Ed Constitutional or not? Because if it's not, how is it legal for him to simply say "we'll just do it as a best practices thingy." Might as well say, "We'll use the Constitution as a guideline until it's inconvenient."

"He'd follow an "all of the above" energy independence strategy."

So would pretty much everyone else on the GOP slate.

"He's personally brought businesses to Texas by going into other states and talking up Texas' business climate at meetings with owners. More importantly, owners have made that move."

And he's spent $732 million of Texans' money to get those owners to move, too. Gosh, that sounds like a principled conservative, paying off favored businesses with other peoples' money.

"His view, like most running, is the federal government is impeding job growth and chasing capital overseas. The difference is record vs. rhetoric. Before business will come off the sidelines and take risks again, they need to have trust. Not all of the candidates have a record that would encourage business activity. Perry is one who does and, for now, he's the leading conservative candidate among them."

Pretty much everyone else on the GOP slate will incentivize businesses to invest again if elected. Yes, I do concede that for sure, the globalists will trust Mitt Perry's record of staying bought, so maybe that is a selling point for his candidacy.

"He sees the President as being able to get government out of the way of economic activity or create avenues that foster is such as fair trade...We'll all see soon enough what the tax specifics and so forth will be for him and other candidates."

That would be nice. Again, what's his jobs plan, exactly? Because the tax structure he likes and will push for is the ONLY jobs plan conservatives will want to hear, and frankly, that's what I'm waiting for when I ask for his view on promoting jobs from a federal policy perspective. I don't care about his "accomplishments" in Texas re: tort reform, because he cannot possibly pass those into federal law. I doubt he'll even get a shot at zeroing out repatriation of profits. But what is his opinion on the home mortgage deduction, Fair Tax, 99 weeks of unemployment benefits? Sure would be nice to hear him state his support for the former, and opposition to the latter, but what about that big weird idea in the middle? What about the flat tax? Does he stand for anything besides the usual talking points? Because we can get those from Santorum or anyone in the race.

You really must be high.

I guess your graphics might bother me if I was a big fan of Governor Perry.

You fail.
